ERA has brought to the world a novel passive medium range surveillance sensor category called Passive ESM Tracker (PET) for defence and electronic warfare purposes - which today, in its fifth generation, is known as VERA-NG - tailored for air, maritime and land target surveillance and reconnaissance. The company heritage and global experience in passive ESM/ELINT helped ERA introduce another category of the Over the Horizon Direction Finding (OTH DF) long-range sensor, in its second generation known as PLESS.

In the civil area, ERA made air traffic control history when deploying the first multilateration system and introducing gate-to-gate surveillance. Its key product is the multilateration surveillance system MSS-5, intended primarily for air traffic control in the form of various applications (surface surveillance, parallel runway monitoring, en-route wide area surveillance, etc.). The multilateration technology is used by the world's major airports (London, Frankfurt, Madrid, Beijing-Daxing, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Singapore-Changi, etc.) and ANSPs in various countries worldwide.

ERA successfully follows in the footsteps of the developers of an original Czech technology of passive surveillance systems, which began in 1960 in the military research institute in Brno and then in the Pardubice company TESLA. VERA's predecessors are the well-known Ramona and Tamara systems.

ERA’s mission is to continue in the development of state-of-the-art unique products and thus provide its customers with extraordinary technologies and services in the field of target detection, tracking and recognition in order to be ahead of the game.
